HSTC’S Pets of the month program will highlight different dogs, cats, and critters each month in an effort to reach their perfect adopter! Some animals take longer than others to find their forever homes and we’re here to help speed up the process. Our goal is for every animal to find a home, and thanks to HSTC’s Pets of the Month program we are offering numerous benefits to encourage adopters to adopt a pet of the month!

Maggie May is a playful pup who is eager to find her
forever home! She's a quick learner, knows basic commands and is motivated by treats. This sweet, 5-year-old girl has been waiting for a home since October of 2024. Maggie May has incredibly
soft fur and would love to cuddle with a forever family.
Queso Jack is a handsome, 6-year-old cat who loves all people. He’s never been around dogs but is
known to be playful and respectful with other cats. Although generally healthy, he does require a special diet which is easy to order and manage. One of the most fascinating things about
Queso Jack is his love for taking leisurely strolls in his harness!

Dumbo is a 2-year-old, 9lb large breed rabbit who was recently transferred in from another shelter.
This big boy has an adorable ear that doesn't quite descend, giving him an irresistible quirkiness. Dumbo is very smart and enjoys his enrichment toys, which challenge his curious mind and
keep him engaged for hours. Once he warms up to you, he will even sit in your lap!
Each month, the HSTC will chose one dog, one cat, and one critter to feature. Should you choose to adopt one of these animals during their featured month, you and your new furry friend will receive the following adoption benefits:
