HSTC’S Pets of the month program will highlight different dogs, cats, and critters each month in an effort to reach their perfect adopter! Some animals take longer than others to find their forever homes and we’re here to help speed up the process. Our goal is for every animal to find a home, and thanks to HSTC’s Pets of the Month program we are offering numerous benefits to encourage adopters to adopt a pet of the month!
Charlotte, enjoying cuddles from HSTC’s Events Manager, Alyssa Bean, is an extremely sweet two-year-old pup that is looking for her forever home at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. She is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands like “sit” and “come”. Charlotte would prefer a home with no other dogs or cats as she loves to have her humans all to herself!
Noir is a very gentle 4-year-old male cat who arrived at the shelter as a stray in January. He is very laid back and loves to sit on laps! Noir is extremely affectionate and would be a great addition to any loving household.

“Mookie Betts” is a young adult albino guinea pig who was transferred in from another shelter that was out of space. He’s been waiting for a home at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast since October of 2024. Mookie was originally seized from a hoarding situation but has flourished into a loving and sweet guinea pig once he learned to trust again. He loves to sleep in his hidey house and enjoys daily fresh greens!
Each month, the HSTC will chose one dog, one cat, and one critter to feature. Should you choose to adopt one of these animals during their featured month, you and your new furry friend will receive the following adoption benefits:
