To adopt from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, simply visit any of our adoption locations to find your purrfect match (or soulmutt!) and then find an employee to complete the adoption process with you.

Whether at our main shelter in Palm City, or any of our off-site adoption locations, we offer same day adoptions!

• You must be at least 18 years old to adopt a pet from our humane society.
• Adoption applications are “first come, first served”. We ask that you are prepared to take your pet home the same day as the adoption
• Please keep in mind, children and four-legged friends should be included in the final decision to adopt. We do allow meet and greets for family pets.
• Be aware: there is no guarantee that you will be approved for the particular pet for which you have applied. We are looking for the best fit for the pet and potential adopter. You may be encouraged to meet a different pet that may be a better fit.
• Adoption fees are non-refundable. Our counselors and expert staff spend a lot of time helping you make a good decision about bringing home a new family member. We encourage you to be certain about your decision before finalizing your adoption.
• HSTC reserves the right to deny any adoption application, for any reason.
