The "Promote a Pet" program at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is specially designed for shelter pets who are experiencing fear, anxiety, or stress in the shelter environment. These animals may struggle to thrive in a busy, noisy setting, making it harder for them to connect with potential adopters. Through this program, they are placed in foster homes where they can relax, decompress, and show their true personalities—giving them a much better chance at finding a loving forever home. While in foster care, these pets remain available for adoption, and the foster family helps promote them through social media, word of mouth, or by providing photos and updates for HSTC to share. It’s a compassionate, community-driven approach that prioritizes animal well-being and helps these special pets find the peace—and families—they deserve.
Reena is a two-year-old, high-energy, fun-loving dog who’s crazy about water. She absolutely loves playing the hose and swimming in the kiddie pools. Reena would do best in an active home as the only pet, where she can get all the love and playtime she deserves. This sweet girl knows basic commands and is super smart!
Meet Fate, a 2-year-old, 52-pound sweetheart looking for her forever family! She's dog-friendly, cat- and critter-friendly, and full of playful energy—whether it's fetch (her own goofy version), tug-of-war, or chasing lizards. Fate is food-motivated, making training easy, and she already has recall and respects other dogs' boundaries. She's the perfect mix of active and cuddly—ready for a hike or a cozy snuggle on the couch.
Bonita is a 3-year-old bundle of joy who’s been patiently waiting for her forever home since January. Bonita is a smart pup who knows many basic commands and loves spending her time playing with all kinds of toys. Bonita would thrive as the only dog in the home.
Blue is a handsome 9-month-old, 52-pound pup who’s full of youthful energy and eager to please! Surrendered on September 13, 2025, after his previous owner realized they couldn’t keep up with his puppy enthusiasm, he’s now looking for a home that can match his spirit and continue his training. He already knows “sit” and “stay,” and is currently working on “down” and “paw.” He can be selective with other dogs, so proper introductions are important.
