Due to growing concerns for the health and safety of our community amid COVID-19, we had no choice but to cancel the 2020 Mutt March 5k & Festival slated for March 28. However,
with an optimistic spirit and in a creative fashion, we found a way into the hearts and homes of those committed to our cause with our first-ever virtual event!
The event featured several videos from key participants, including a message from the HSTC President and CEO Frank Valente; a morning greeting by Sunny 107.9 FM radio personality Jennifer
Ross; and a Blessing of the Animals by Rev. Jude Denning of Unity of Stuart. There also was a live morning walk, a virtual vendor market, a message from the shelter veterinarian, Tips From
the Trainer, a live video featuring adoptable pets - even a costume contest featuring pets that their owners posted online.
We are proud to say that this virtual event brought in more than $13,000 to benefit animals in need at the HSTC! Of that, more than $5,000 came directly from those who were actively
fundraising on our behalf.
A special Thank You for your unwavering support during this critical time! We will get through this... together!
