Policies Waivers & Releases

I understand my child can be released to anyone on the camper pick-up list, anyone listed as a parent/guardian or emergency contact, or anyone who I verbally confirm may pick up my child if I am called during pick-up because someone present is not on my list.

I understand all persons must provide a photo ID before any camper is released from HSTC into their custody

I understand part of the camp's program is to educate young people on how to handle animals. I expressly acknowledge that there are certain inherent dangers, risks, and personal injury when working with animals, including without limitation, animal bites and injury from animal behavior.

I understand my child will be exposed to many types of animals throughout their camp experience, and I certify that this contact will NOT negatively affect their health due to allergies or other known medical issues.

I voluntarily assume the sole risk for any and all dangers, illnesses and personal injuries that may result from my or my minor child's participation in any events/activities/programs/classes while at the HSTC and/or sponsored by the HSTC.

I understand the HSTC and its employees, agents, counselors, teachers, trainers, representatives, successors and assigns, assume no responsibility for the loss, damage, illness or injury to person or property that I or my minor child may sustain as a result of my or his/her physical condition or resulting from my or his/her participation in any activities/programs/events/classes/field-trips/etc. sponsored by the HSTC.

I acknowledge that the HSTC often uses photographs, videotapes, television programs, and similar media for promotional purposes. By providing my consent, I allow HSTC to use any photos, videos, or other recordings taken of my child in promotional materials including, but not limited to: television, radio, publications, HSTC website and social media.

Hold Harmless Agreement

In consideration of HSTC allowing me and or my child to attend or participate in any programs, events, classes or other activities at the Humane Society or sponsored by HSTC, I hereby, for myself and my minor child, heirs, personal representatives and executors, do release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC), its employees, agents, servants, counselors, teachers, trainers and volunteers, from any and all claims, cause or causes of action, actions, damages, or demands or injuries, suits in equity of whatever kind or nature, whether arising out of the negligence of the HSTC, its employees, agents, servants, counselors, teachers, trainers or volunteers, which may be incurred or sustained by me or my child in any way related to or in connection with this activity, including, but not limited to animals bites, accidents, or injuries.

COVID-19 Waiver

I attest that to the best of my knowledge, I do not have COVID-19 at the time of attending any Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (“HSTC”) event, class, or training and understand the risks of unknowing exposure to this and other illnesses by myself, my family, other participants, and third parties. I have not been tested and found positive, am not waiting for test results, and do not have symptoms. I agree that I will not knowingly expose others to any illness I may have or be at risk of. I will follow all HSTC rules and requirements to reduce any exposure and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. I agree that I am attending a class or an event at HSTC entirely at my own risk and assume all risk and full responsibility for my health, wellbeing, and safety during this class or event. I fully agree that HSTC, the officers, board members, and volunteers are in no way liable for any present or future COVID-19 exposure incurred at any time by any person in attendance or not in attendance, during, or after this event. I hereby waive and release HSTC, the officers, the board members, volunteers, and Landlord from any liability for damages or personal injury to me, my pets, or my property.
