Your rabbit or guinea pig will leave feeling fluffy and fresh with a nail trim, light brushing, scent gland cleaning and moderate mat removal. Appointments are required. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment for mite check. All critters will be checked for mites prior to being groomed. If mites are found, we will credit you for the next Southest Bunfest Clean & Preen Day in February to allow time for treatment. Refunds will not be issued.

Tickets:

Please email Events@hstc1.org to get your tickets! Please make sure to indicate the services requested, as well as your preferred time slot preference and contact phone number. Once you select and submit your preferences, we will contact the phone number provided to confirm your appointment. *Please note we will do our best to accommodate your preferred time; however, appointments are made on a first come, first serve basis, and we may need to move your appointment to a different time slot. If a change in appointment time is necessary, we will make sure it meets with your approval first.

Your credit card will not be charged until appointment is confirmed via phone. Please allow 5-7 business days for confirmation phone call.

Upon your arrival, please make sure that your critter is transported in a secure carrier or crate. We recommend that you arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, so our staff can perform a mite check and have you fill out the waiver. We cannot accept rabbits with mites or feces soiled bottoms. If your rabbit is soiled, we recommend following up with your own veterinarian. Should you need to get established with a veterinarian that treats exotic animals, like bunnies, we will have one on site for you to consult.

Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement. A PDF version of this agreement can be found HERE.

This Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement (the “Release”) releases Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, a nonprofit corporation, and each of its directors, officers, employees, volunteers and agents, of any and all liability regarding its critter grooming activities. By signing this Release, you understand and agree to the following:

  1. Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s groomers are Critter Care Volunteers for the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
  2. Your rabbit or guinea pig (“critter”) does not have any known medical conditions that would put their health or safety at risk while being groomed (including, but not limited to, seizures, arthritis, or skin disorders).
  3. Your critter does not have any known illness or parasites that could put the health or safety of other critters at risk.
  4. If your critter has any history of biting or any other behaviors that could result in a challenge for the critter or the groomer, we require that you notify us before booking your appointment. If you fail to inform us, and your critter becomes overly stressed, we may elect to not complete the grooming process at which point a refund will not be issued.
  5. Our volunteers provide brushing, nail trims, scent gland cleaning, and moderate mat removal. Volunteers are not permitted to provide medical treatment or advice, but will refer you to a veterinarian who specializes in critters if necessary. If your critter requires extensive grooming, you should seek the services of a professional.
  6. Your critter’s comfort and safety are our top priority, and you will be present alongside your critter throughout the grooming process. Although rare, there is a risk of accidents happening when working with pets. Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will inform you immediately of any incident should one occur during your grooming appointment.

Accordingly, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, personal representatives, and executors/administrators, you hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, causes of actions, or demands of any nature or cause, including costs and attorney’s fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your critter’s grooming appointment, including but not limited to animal bites, accidents, injuries, property damage, and veterinary fees.
