Gift Acknowledgment Preferences

Thank you for donating to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast! In an effort to cut expenses, stay green, and help customize your donor experience with HSTC, we will not mail a gift acknowledgment letter after each of your donations, moving forward. All HSTC donors receive an Annual Tax Statement at the start of each calendar year, which summarizes all donations made to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast during the previous year. We hope that this single document will make it easier for you to manage your charitable contributions for filing taxes.

To maximize the satisfaction of our supporters, we now offer options for your individual gift acknowledgments from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Please note that all donors will receive this Annual Tax Statement, and that all gifts greater than $250 will still receive individual gift acknowledgment letters at the time of the donation via USPS mail.

Please review the options below to determine which is best for you.

Default Option: Annual Tax Statement Only. You will receive an Annual Tax Statement, which will include your donation summary from the last tax year and our necessary charity tax information, in the mail each February. All gifts greater than $250 will still receive individual gift acknowledgment letters at the time of the donation via mail. If this option is your preference, you do not need to complete the short form described below.

Option 2: Email Confirmation of Gift & Annual Tax Statement. You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your gift at the time of the donation, and you will receive an Annual Tax Statement in the mail each February.

Option 3: Gift Acknowledgment Letter & Annual Tax Statement. You will receive a tax acknowledgment letter in the mail after every gift, regardless of the gift size, and you will receive an Annual Tax Statement in the mail each February.

You can submit your preference by completing the short form on our website at www.hstc1.org/acknowledgment-preferences or by selecting “Gift Ack. Preference Form” under the Gift tab on the main menu of our website (www.hstc1.org).

Your new gift acknowledgment preferences will take effect within 30 days. If you have any questions, or would like to change your preferences at any time, please call the Director of Development, Taylor Gilmour, at (772) 600-3212.

Please note that the default setting for donors  is to receive the Annual Tax Statement only. Donors may change their preference at any time.
